There it is, friends! Shocked is the only description I have for you. All I’d like to say– if you’ve ever wanted to enter a quilt show, you should– you’re good enough!

I FORGOT MY PHONE, so I couldn’t even immediately tell anyone– my friend lent me her phone and I’ll share quite a few of my photos without comment. It is wonderful to see what everyone is doing out there– there is more original quilty wonderfulness being created out there than you’d ever guess if you just looked on the internet. Visit the shows. And if your quilt is missing from this gallery, it would only be because too many people were standing in front of it!

There won’t be a blue ribbon for my show photography and for that I apologize. It was busy, and I had to take the photos at an angle to avoid having people in front of them, then “unskew” the photos in Photoshop. So, usually I can read the name tags on my photos– not so much this time as the unskewing really skewed up the words. I did my best with show book in hand– a few names I just can’t figure out, but I don’t want to delete the quilts. I still may be able to find some on the web–if you recognize one, let me know! Some good news– if you click on the photos, you can see them enlarged.

That’s all for this week– I am quietly making BIG progress on Carefree Highways and then leaving for the Bayberry Quilt show on Cape Cod later this week. What a summer!

Congratulations on the blue ribbon, what a well deserved honor! There are some incredibly beautiful quilts in that show, wow! The only one vaguely familiar to me is the blue/cream one (in the post it’s next to the photo of ‘A Valued Experiment’) and it looks like the Alaska quilt pattern, or a variation of it. I’m no expert so I could be completely wrong about that 🙂

WOW, WOW, WOW – Congratulations on your blue ribbon!! And, thanks for sharing so many beautiful quilts. I sure would hate to be a judge because it looks (to me) like everyone is a winner. XOXO Dottie

Congratulations! Your hard work looked amazing and the judges agreed.

Hope your next entry is a blue ribbon too—but if not, you’re way ahead of me (and others I’m sure) who wouldn’t even try to submit something to a show.

    Congrats again!
