Just a quick blog post so you don’t think I have fallen off the face of the earth. Things have again taken a serious turn here at the meadow. The least of which is I found out last week I have two tears in my shoulder (Remember I fell in February?) that is most likely going to need a surgery to correct— a 4-6 month recovery period. On the plus side, I can do it whenever I’m ready. Then, that afternoon, we had a serious farm accident — not life threatening, but another surgery is required— and finally, our little grandson, due at the end of the month, is having some concerning issues, with lots of extra appointments. (Any appointment here is up to a two hour drive one way.) I feel like we have a target on our foreheads!

I’m going to take a break from blogging as we navigate all these things. Sewing time has taken a big hit as you can imagine, commenting and readership is down anyway, and bottom line, my biggest hope for this blog is that it would be a fountain— not a drain— and I can’t be that right now.

I’m not sure when I’ll be back— but I promise to check in by August at the very least. I do hope to turn whatever energy and time I have into the Sugar Meadow finishing kit and try to get some new embroidery sets up, so let’s hope for the best.

Thanks to all my regulars for being out there for me— I know you’ll be thinking of me, and I’ll be thinking of you. Have a great summer.

Oh my goodness Carol, that is a lot. Totally understand why you would need to step back and concentrate on all these serious health issues. I also know what a time sink it is to live so far away from your medical providers. All of your readers will be thinking about you and hoping things go well. Fingers crossed that by August some of these issues will have been sorted out successfully. You know you can always message me to chat if you need a shoulder to lean on!
